Immaculate Heart of Mary Specialist Hospital, Nkpor, has a history rooted in a commitment to saving lives and serving the community. Founded in 1979 by the Religious Institute of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Christ, the institution was established in response to the pressing need to help reduce maternal and infant mortality and improve access to quality healthcare for mothers and children. The institution began as a maternity centre, providing essential maternal and newborn care to families in Nkpor and surrounding communities. As the needs of the community grew, so did the institution. In 1991, it evolved into a hospital, expanding its range of healthcare services and clinical capabilities. Today, Immaculate Heart of Mary Specialist Hospital has grown into a comprehensive specialist healthcare institution, offering services across more than 20 medical and specialist areas. Our facilities, professionals and multidisciplinary teams enable us to provide a broad spectrum of care while maintaining the compassionate, patient-centred values upon which the institution was founded. Our commitment to healthcare extends beyond treatment.
